G'day folks! For your reading pleasure I will post in Cebuano, a language spoken in the Philippines. I have only a basic understanding of the language, but salamat sa (thanks to) Sammy: This blog is a great way I can practice my Cebuano as I learn. Here goes! Allow me to introduce myself...

Maayong hapon, ako si Rachel. Baynte-tres na ako'g panuigon. Australiana Ako. Nars ug estudyante ako. Aduna akoy duhang igsoon, usang lalaki ug usang babaye. Aduna akoy tulong pato, ug usang iring (siya si Susie).

Good afternoon, I'm Rachel. I'm 23 years old. I'm Australian. I'm a nurse and a student. I have two siblings, one boy and one girl. I have three ducks and one cat (she's Susie).

Short and sweet, I know. But there is more to come! Adiyos!

C'est une bonne idée ce blog pour continuer à pratiquer les langues étrangères. Et maintenant, une question: ça vous arrive de penser dans une langue étrangère et de ne pas arriver à un mot particulier dans votre propre langue maternelle bien que vous soyez entouré de votre langue maternelle? C'est un peu trop frequemment chez moi.

This blog is a good idea to help practice foreign languages (or are we calling them "World Languages" now?) And now, a question: do you often find yourself thinking in a foreign language and can't come up with a specific word in your own native tongue even though you're surrounded by your native language? It happens a little too frequently for me.
